For the Crust:
- 2 & 1/2 cups of flower
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 cup of room temperature butter
- 1/4 of a cup of chilled water
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 5 apples
- 1/3 of a cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 a teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 a teaspoon of freshly ground nutmeg
- Muesli (enough to cover the top of your pie)
- Roll our your pie crust once it's chilled and put it in a greased pie dish
- Peel and core the apples, cut them into cubes and put them in a bowl
- Add the lemon juice, maple syrup, vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg - mix together
- Pour the contents of the bowl into your baking pan
- Top your pie with muesli, brown sugar and butter (obviously, a really good recipe for weight loss)
- Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes at 170 degrees
