Grilled Tomatoes

You will need:
  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 2 stalks of fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinagre or balsamic mouse
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoons of Dried oregano
  • 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of Garlic powder
  • 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of Sugar
1. Cut your tomatoes into three thick slices each
2. Place them in a large ziplock bag
3. Add your vinagre, olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder and sugar to the bag and shake it
4. Seal the bag and leave it in the fridge to marinate for at least 30 minutes
5. Cook your tomatoes in a pan on a medium-high heat on each side for about a minute. You don't want your tomatoes to be too soft
6. Coarsely chop your basil leaves and use them to garnish your tomatoes
